1. Introduction
What is apiVPN?
apiVPN is a decentralized "White Label VPN" platform that leverages the TON blockchain to coordinate Node Providers, VPN Providers, and VPN Users. By combining on-chain deposits, off-chain ticket issuance, and a decentralized reward mechanism, apiVPN enables:
- Multiple, independent Node Providers hosting VPN nodes.
- VPN Providers paying monthly on-chain subscriptions and user limits.
- A secure system of tickets (signed off-chain) allowing VPN Users to access these nodes.
Key Features
- Decentralized Node Providers: Anyone can register as a Node Provider on-chain by depositing TON coins. This deposit correlates with the maximum number of nodes they can host.
- On-chain VPN Provider Subscriptions: VPN Providers pay monthly fees (and optionally buy “Monthly Active Users” capacity) to maintain their network presence.
- Ticket Mechanism: Each VPN User obtains a signed ticket from a VPN Provider, allowing them to connect to any node in that provider’s network for a given subscription period.
- Quality and Rewards: Node Providers receive rewards from the total provider’s pool, proportional to user usage, feedback, and the node’s performance. The volume of raw traffic is not considered; rather, the node’s reliability and user experience matter.
